This source shows how it can be useful for people who have done structured interviews and want to pull codes/nodes from the MS Word file based on how parts of those files are formatted. Some might want to do use formatting in MS Word files for autocoding. The guides located HERE also include videos. ![]() In NVivo, this can be done with classification tables or sheets. Individuals wanting to use a multi-method reseach design who want to combine tables of participant characteristics with interview transcripts might be interested in this source. The library at the University of Utah has published some research guides that I have also found to be useful. Their YouTube channel has playlists that take a user through some of the steps they would need for analyzing qualitative data. The QSRInternational YouTube page is a really useful resource. I haven’t seen an updated “Getting Started Guide” for the newest version of Nvivo, but the older version (for Nvivo 11) is incredibly useful. I have organized them according to when in the research process you’re likely to need them. Briefly, some resources for working with NVivo can be found below.
